SAFKAR R&D COORDINATOR

Parallel to its on going business development activities and new technology product development initiatives SAFKAR is seeking for an R&D Coordinator position within its TUBİTAK and TTGV accredited R&D Center. This high potential role requires credible previous R&D experience with solid management and project management skills. Coordinator will oversee the management of global R&D activities for 3 Business Units and test center. Position is based in Izmir Turkey.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

- Establish and Monitor Project Pipeline for innovation, cost saving, product improvement initiatives for internal and external accounts.

- Manage, coordinate, and provide strategic planning of activities concerned with research and development of new or improved concepts, ideas, basic data on, and applications for organization's products, services, or ideologies including engineering research and development programs.

 

- Ensure projects are being designed, developed and delivered on schedule by providing precise project management and resources support. Coordinate with other functions in the organization to warrant that deliverables are established by realistic means given corporate constrains.

- Act as a liaison between Sales & Marketing Function and R&D Department. Manage R&D relationships with multiple functions with the organization with responsibility for ongoing project deliverables, written reports, meeting attendance, status updates, etc.

 

- Identify and Prioritize Project and Testing activities according to Corporate Strategic Roadmap.

- Support the coordination of the R&D information library (electronic and hard copy), development of the proper and updated documentation of product line item breakdown and its updated blue prints in the system.

 

- Plan and Formulate the Resource Requirements by conducting Capacity and Resource Planning Studies

- Responsibilities include providing necessary growth opportunities for peers by offering field experience practices and creating avenues for interacting with customers.

- Developing and executing a career management process for the R&D team members. Monitor subordinates attendance and motivation. Evaluate and appraise employee’s performance and follow-up with proper documentation.

- Support and Guide Business Unit Team Leaders as required.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, M.S Degree Preferred

- Minimum 5 years experience in R&D function of an industrial manufacturing company

- Strong Leadership skill, previous team management and project leadership accountability experience of at least 3 years

- Proficiency in English

- Heat Transfer Experience is a Plus

- Computer Savvy Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project

- Capability to Utilize Computer Aided Design Tools, Catia, Autocad, Solidworks
